The Nigerian international continued his scoring run with another goal in the Champions League against the German representatives to help his side to the group stages

Nigerian striker Brown Ideye enhanced his growing reputation in Europe by scoring his 10th goal of the 2012/13 season in the second leg of the Uefa Champions League play-off match against Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday.

Ideye coolly chipped Monchengladbach goalkeeper, Marc-Andr? ter Stegen from a Denys Garmash through ball. That goal settled the nerves of the Kiev fans in the crowded NSK Olimpiyskyi – Kyiv Stadium.

Kiev had gone behind to two goals in the second half and their first leg lead of 3-1 was threatening to explode in their faces before Ideye brought the sunlight in.

The first was an own goal by Kiev defender Khacheridi, who headed into his own goal from a Juan Arango cross from the right.

Arango scored the second off another header from a corner kick in the 78th minute but Ideye silenced the German?s enthusiasm with his chipped goal in the 88th minute to win the tie 4-3 on aggregate.

Ideye had scored two goals in the third round playoff against Feyenoord and added his third in this year?s edition to help his team into the group stage for the first time in three years.

The draws for the group stage of the Champions League will be conducted in Monaco on Thursday evening.
