The IDPs electorates from Dikwa local government council, who have been displaced from their villages and currently taking refuge in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, have received 140 different types of vehicles and amount of cash in fulfillment of electioneering campaign promises made to them by the BOSHA member representing Dikwa LGA State Constituency Mohammed Zakariyya which he pledged to his people in 2011 before he was elected to represent them at the Borno State House of Assembly BOSHA.

Launching the distribution, a set of 13 vehicles were yesterday presented to 12 beneficiaries from Dikwa LGA, who amazingly described the gesture as a great and wonderful donation worthy of emulation by other politicians. A vehicle was also donated to the APC State Campaign Organization for Governor Kashim Shettima.

The former Dikwa LGA Caretaker Committee Chairman, Alhaji Babagana Ali Kaka while handing over some keys to some beneficiaries said, “Since the creation of Dikwa LGA, no politician has ever distributed 140 vehicles to the people of Dikwa except the serving member representing Dikwa LGA at the Borno State House of Assembly”.
Alhaji Babagana also described the donor as a selfless leader that can unite and carry along his people, saying that “Hon. Mohammed Zakariya is a pillar of unity in Dikwa LGA.

“In return, I use this forum to call on all our people from Dikwa LGA to support the re-election bid of Governor Kashim Shettima, and come out en mass to elect General Muhammadu Buhari at the forthcoming general elections,” Kaka added.

Speaking shortly after the presentation of the vehicles, the Majority Leader at the Borno State House of Assembly, Hon. Mohammed Zakariya, who distributed the 140 vehicles said that, “the presentation is to fulfill my electioneering campaign promises that I made earlier in 2011, and also to serve as part of my re-electioneering campaign gifts to my people”. He also thanked the people of Dikwa for their support while appreciating the support of the party leaders and elders in Dikwa emirate including the youths and women leaders.
