According to the Immigration commander at the Aflao border, Julius Gbordlah revealed that, the weapons were hidden in a fertilizer sack being carried by the Benin national.
“He was carrying a sack and trying to use an unapproved route to Ghana and the officers on patrol intercepted him and upon interrogation, we retrieved twelve pieces of the single barrel rifle concealed in the sack” he revealed.
The suspect who further argued that the said rifles was rather being transported to Cote D’ivoire and not to Ghana, has been handed over to the police for further investigations.
