In Sympathy with the entire People of Guinea

We are deeply saddened to learn of the loss of lives and property following a massive fire explosion at the main fuel terminal in Canakry, the Republic of Guinea. Media reports put the death toll at 13 and 178 others injured in the explosion that occurred on Monday 18th December, 2023.

Although no official statement has been made to intimate the public about the cause of the fire explosion, the New African Chapter International (NACI) believes it is the work of the enemies of the Guinean people who seek a reversal of the ongoing development projects in the West African nation. We call on the Government of President mamady Dumbuya to not allow the activities of saboteurs to distract his patriotic zeal and good works in Africa. We call on the competent authorities in Conakry to do everything to bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice.

In this respect, the New African Chapter International (NACI) in accordance with African solidarity spirit, encourages the good people of the world in favour of the Guinean Government and Guinean people and people of Africa. NACI believes that the international solidarity that would be extended to Guinea in this time of national grief will send the right message to foreign detractors and local traitors that this is the era of the New Africa-the pro-African movement.

Africans are no longer interested in twisting and turning news to favour the designs and tastes of detractors to the peace, stability, unity, development and prosperity of the continent. It is not about time to discuss the fire explosion that struck the Guinean capital as a news item. It is time to come to terms with the reality and work for the good and mutual benefits of all stakeholders in the peace, freedom, stability, development, environmental sustainability and progress in Africa.

While we commend the competent authorities in Conakry for their swift response in quenching the fire and saving lives and property, we extend our profound condolences and most sincere sympathies to the bereaved families and pray for early recovery of those injured in the explosion.

Africa must live!
