Inaki Williams delivered a standout performance with three assists as Athletic Bilbao secured a 3-2 victory over Las Palmas on Sunday, marking their second league win of the season.
Williams orchestrated the attack from the outset, with his first assist setting up Oihan Sancet to give Bilbao an early lead in the seventh minute.
The Williams brothers’ synergy was evident when Nico Williams converted Inaki’s assist into a goal on the half-hour mark, doubling Bilbao’s advantage with a precise side-foot finish inside the penalty area.
In the 75th minute, Inaki Williams extended Bilbao’s lead to 3-0 by setting up Aitor Paredes. Despite a resilient comeback attempt by Las Palmas, who saw Sandro Ramirez score a free-kick and Alex Munoz net a stunning goal seven minutes from time to narrow the deficit, Bilbao managed to secure the win.
Inaki Williams’ performance was particularly notable. He became the first Athletic Bilbao player to register three assists in a single La Liga match since Fran Yeste did so against Real Betis in February 2005.
