The Presidential Candidate of the AllProgressives Congress (APC), Gen.?Muhammadu?Buhari?(rtd), says Nigerians ought to have listened to?INEC?instead of making an issue over the ingenuity of his certificate.
Buhari?said this in an interview with newsmen after an initial briefing where the Peoples Democratic Movement (PDM) presented a resolution supporting his candidature for the?Feb. 14?presidential election.
According to him,?INEC?has his certificates, adding that anyone with a difference of opinion should seek redress in court.
“Well, I?m not surprised, this is Nigeria. If people are serious about this issue they ought to have listened to?INEC.
“I ran for this office, this is the fourth time,?INEC?by law has got those documents, they say they?ve got them; anybody who has got any different opinion should go to court.
“They are now in court so let them remain there,???Buhari?said.Also reacting to questions after the briefing, Alhaji?Bashir?Ibrahim, the National Chairman of?PDM, denied?Atiku?s?involvement or coercion in his party?s support for the APC presidential candidate.
“Nobody is allowed to be a member of two political parties.?Atiku Abubakar ran for his presidential ambition on the platform of APC; so this is not possible,?? Ibrahim said.
