Ghanaian defender, Samuel Inkoom has expressed his delight on his current football development with FC Vereya after he joined the Stara Zagora based side in the top division of Bulgarian football.
Inkoom, who was in action for his new side as they drew 0-0 with Cherno More over the weekend, was at his usual best for the ‘Blues & Whites’ with his on-time tackles, numerous surging runs and crosses.
Speaking in an interview with TOPBALLERS after his side’s goalless drawn game with Cherno More over the weekend, the 27year old former FC Basel star remained positive of his desires to become one of the finest full-backs in the modern game of football.
He said: “I felt good on the pitch [during the game] and likewise, I was very happy about my performance because I made a very positive contribution on the field of play but it’s unfortunate we had to settle for a point.”
“Football is an evolving game every second, which primes us to learn new techniques every day and hopefully, with the progress that I am making, it is my goal to be amongst the best players in the game.”
Inkoom added: “I also want to use this opportunity to thank my fans for their support during all the difficult moments in my footballing career because I’m blessed to be able to do what I do for a living, and thanking them [fans] is a way for me to express my gratitude.”
