More than 300,000 participants from around the world are expected at the yearly event, which runs through Nov. 15.

A number of on-line shop operators and cross-border E-commerce operators have, for the first time, taken part in the fair, showcasing their services while exploring business opportunities in the country’s business city.

He Xiyang, a Chinese exhibitor and Manager of Steelite Nigeria Limited, a company based in southwest Nigeria’s Ogun State, said the fair provided opportunities for the company to showcase its new products.

The objectives of fair, initiated since 1986, include boosting the revitalization and diversification of the economy, promoting Nigerian non-oil exports and made-in-Nigeria products and accelerating the development of commerce and industry in Nigeria, according to the organizer. Enditem
