The Regional executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta region have been petitioned to investigate the alleged ‘fraudulent’ conduct of the party’s Ho central constituency chairman, Mr. Ferg Afedo.
The petition signed by two supporters of the party, Mohammed Isaka and Joseph Attor, further alleged that the constituency chairman also misappropriated some funds of his former church as well as funds meant for party work.
These, alleged misconducts on the part of Mr. Afedo, the petitioners believe have the tendency to create disaffection for the NDC in the Ho central constituency ahead of the 2016 elections.
They therefore wants the party hierarchy to investigate and applied the appropriate sanctions, should the chairman be found culpable.
When contacted however, Mr. Afedo declined to comment on the allegations in the media but expressed his willingness to meet the party hierarchy on the matter whenever, he is called o to do.

THE REGIONAL CHAIRMAN
RE: PETITION AGAINST HO CENTRAL CONSTITUENCY CHAIRMAN MR. FERG APEDO.
In our first petition to your honorable office, we expressed our heartfelt grievances to you regarding the character of our Chairman Ferg Afedo which if not checked will result into apathy voting in 2016 and urged your honorable office to take action to ensure a one touch victory in 2016.
Among the displeasure we registered were the following;
Extortion of money from individual especially teachers with the promise of fast tracking the payments of their salaries, securing jobs in G.E.S for some of his victims and guaranteeing study leave to some teachers who are not due for study or going to study non – approved courses.
Embezzlement of E.P Church Elorm Parish funds and leaving the church to another, Victory Bible Church just to avoid the anger of members.
Unilaterally running the affairs of the party in the constituency and creating divisions among members.
Turned himself the treasurer of the party just to strongly position himself to misappropriate party funds especially when election is just in the corner.
Mr. Chairman, in our first petition to you, we noted that he was even indicted in an EOCO report in 2012 for fraud when some teachers armed themselves against him for cheating them and stealing their money through dubious means which necessitated his request for transfer from Agortime-Ziope District to Ho West to avoid further disgrace.
Mr. Chairman, when he was given his copy of the first petition, he quickly went to settle some of the monies he took from some victims and we have the money as an evidence against him when contacted for proof.
The question we ask therefore is:
If Mr. Afedo has denied all these allegations, then which money did he pay to one Mr. Jerry, a.k.a Thank You who testified that he took money from him to secure a job for his wife.
What of the payments he has been making to E.P Church Elorm Parish as a move to settle the over GH¢ 27,000.00 he embezzled?
Mr. Chairman, the greed selfishness and fraudulent behavior of Mr. Afedo leaves us with no choice than to make a follow up to our first petition since a stitch in time they say saves nine.
We can’t afford to lose our votes in Ho Central and thus, appealing to you to act swiftly.
National Chairman, NDC
Regional Minister, Volta
Constituency Executives, Ho Central
MP, Ho Central
