The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and local police are jointly investigating the perplexing death of 24-year-old Loise Abena Koranteng at the CrisLord Palace Hotel in Takoradi.
Henry Yeleduor, Western Regional Director of GTA, confirmed their collaboration following the tragic incident.
Loise Abena Koranteng, accompanied by her boss and another colleague, checked into the hotel on June 7, 2024. Shockingly, she was discovered deceased in the hotel’s pool the following day. Compounding the mystery, reports indicate that the hotel’s CCTV system was non-operational during the week of the incident.
The incident has sparked widespread concern on social media, underscoring the need for public awareness about the circumstances surrounding her death and the delay in publicizing the news.
In an interview with Channel One TV, Mr Yeleduor assured the public that GTA is actively working with the police and hotel management to uncover the truth behind this tragic event. He also emphasized the importance of public cooperation in this investigation.
