Under the leadership of the International Precious Metals Bullion (IPMB), a new water project has been inaugurated. This project is a testament to IPMB’s commitment to improving the livelihoods of communities impacted by illegal mining activities.
At the launch ceremony, IPMB founder John Vakis emphasized the critical role of water in enhancing quality of life, stating, “Water is life, and it is essential for a better source of livelihood.”
The project aims to provide clean and accessible water, addressing the pressing needs of affected communities.
Ohene Dankwa Agyeman Duah, Director of IPMB Africa and Ground Operations, underscored the profound impact of clean water on community health and well-being. “Access to good, clean water is not just a necessity but a catalyst for enhancing the lives of our people,” he remarked.
The chief of Kyebi-Afiesa, Otafregya Agyeman Kumaning II, expressed gratitude for the initiative and called on other international organizations to undertake similar social relief efforts.
“We urge other bodies to bring social relief and interventions to alleviate the challenges faced by our community,” he said.
Among the distinguished guests at the event was Osagyefo Ampem Anye Amoampong III, Omanhene of the Wenchi Traditional Area in the Bono Region.
