Campaign Coordinator of Integrated Social Development Centre (ISODEC,) Dr. Steve Manteaw, has appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to withdraw the nominations of senior members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to special positions.

He mentioned that the former Ministers, Enoch Teye Mensah of the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing;Sumana Alban Kingsford Bagbin of the Ministry of Health, and; Cletus Avorka, former Majority Leader in Parliament, have paid their dues in Ghana?s politics and must be retired.

The three NDC veterans are tasked to coordinate the construction of 200 senior high schools, 10 teacher training colleges, a public university in the Eastern Region, the development of ultra-modernregional and specialist hospitals and the development of new international and regional airports.
In an inclusive interview with Today, Dr. Manteaw described as ?a complete waste of national resources since itwill add no value to the government machinery.?

According to him, the special projects were already under sector ministries (the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education.)

He explained that the portfolios of the three senior members will create problems with specific sector ministers of the projects in terms of budgetary allocation and the chain of command.?

?The other question is the issue about the budgetary allocations because we have the ministry of works and housing that has to supervise these things anyway. What is going to happen?. are they (the ?Three Wise Men?) going to have separate budgets,?? he questioned.
