An Italian Mafia boss was arrested in Malta on Thursday, the Times of Malta reported, citing local police sources.
Sebastiano Brunno, 56, has been a fugitive since 2009 after being condemned to life imprisonment. Brunno was arrested following an operation coordinated by the Catania police in conjunction with the Maltese police, acting on a European arrest warrant.
He was one of the Mafia leaders in a bloody turf war in the 1990s.
