Jehovah Jireh Assemblies Of God Holds Joint Wedding

The Jehovah Jireh congregation?? of the Assemblies of God Church at Adenta Japan Motors has held a joint wedding ceremony for its members.

The event, an initiative of the Presiding Minister, Reverend Joyce Frimpong was?? aimed at promoting healthy marriage in the presence of God the creator.

The special event which? first of a kind in the four year history of the church? brought together dignitaries , friends and well wishers to witness the blessings of God in the Lives of the couples.

The ceremony saw Mr Vincent Agyare blessing his marriage with Faustina Gyasi with Francis Mensah and Francis Darko also legalizing their relationships with Monica Ankamah and Mary Aba-kyere.

Delivering the sermon, Reverend Joyce Frimpong nobody would dispute that the most important day in a person’s life, after his birth and baptism, is that of his marriage. It is no surprise, then, that the aim of contemporary worldly and institutional upheavals is precisely to crush the most honorable and sacred mystery of marriage.

?For many people, marriage is an opportunity for pleasures and amusements. Life, however, is a serious affair. It is a spiritual struggle, a progression toward a goal?heaven?, she noted.

?The most crucial juncture, and the most important means, of this progression is marriage. It is not permissible for anyone to avoid the bonds of marriage, whether he concludes a mystical marriage by devoting himself to God or whether he concludes a sacramental one with a spouse? she stated.

Reverend Frimpong further indicated that ?Marriage is not just a piece of paper.? It is a promise to live together faithfully, till death, through thick and thin, sickness and health and it is a benefit to the children who are raised in it.? Marriage is a blessing from God.

According to her, The Lord God said in Genesis 2:2124 that, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him’…and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and closed up the place with flesh.

?Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, ‘This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.’ For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh?.

She therefore urged the couples to avoid skirmishes that will lead to misunderstanding and threaten their marriage.
