Ghanaian goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott has finalized a permanent transfer to Crawley Town from Hibernian, signing a two-year contract with the League One club.
The 27-year-old shot-stopper, who spent last season with Hibernian in Edinburgh, expressed his eagerness to join Crawley and reunite with manager Scott Lindsey, under whom he previously played at Swindon Town.
“Unfortunately, last season did not work out for me, so I was looking for a solution,” Wollacott explained in an interview with the club’s website. “I know Scott well from my time at Swindon, and I enjoyed working with him, so this seemed like a great fit.”
Wollacott’s career path includes a loan spell at Swindon Town from Bristol City in 2021, which became a permanent move later that year. He subsequently moved to Charlton Athletic in 2022 before joining Hibernian.
Manager Scott Lindsey welcomed Wollacott as his ninth summer transfer window signing following Crawley Town’s promotion to League One.
