Jordan Ayew has signed a two-year contract with Leicester City, reuniting with manager Steve Cooper at the King Power Stadium.

The transfer, which saw Leicester pay Crystal Palace £5 million, marks Ayew’s return to the Premier League.

The 32-year-old Ghanaian forward expressed gratitude to Leicester City for their commitment to securing his move, stating, “I’m thrilled to be here, and I’m proud.

I want to thank the Club for fighting hard to bring me here.

As a player, when you hear that the manager wants you, it just makes you want to come and work under him and to try to improve.”

Ayew, who has previously played for Aston Villa, Swansea City, and Olympique Marseille, brings extensive Premier League experience to Leicester City. The Club aims to maintain its top-flight status following its Championship victory last season.

With over 100 caps for Ghana and a solid record in appearances and goals, Ayew is expected to bolster Leicester’s squad under Enzo Maresca’s management.

After a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur in their season opener, Leicester City will next face Fulham in their upcoming Premier League match.
