According to The Athletic UK, Jordan Ayew is on the verge of joining Leicester City after the Foxes agreed to a transfer fee with Crystal Palace.
The deal is reportedly worth an initial £5 million, with an additional £3 million in potential add-ons for the 32-year-old Ghanaian international.
Ayew, who started 30 Premier League matches for Palace last season, scored 23 goals in 211 appearances for the south London club.
He is expected to undergo a medical soon, and if successful, he will become Leicester City’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window.
Leicester City has already added Abdul Fatawu, another Ghanaian international, along with Oliver Skipp, Caleb Okoli, and Bobby De Cordova Reid to its squad.
The club has seen departures, including Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Marc Albrighton, Dennis Praet, and Kelechi Iheanacho.
Ayew initially joined Crystal Palace on loan from Swansea City in the summer of 2018 before making the transfer permanent the following year.
His career began at Ligue 1 club Marseille and he scored 13 goals for Lorient in the 2014-15 season before moving to Aston Villa.
Ayew spent a season and a half at Villa before joining Swansea, where he reunited with his elder brother, Andre Ayew.
