Ghana Black Stars will miss the services of Jordan Ayew in the return fixture against Congo Brazzaville in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
The Swansea City striker has asked for permission to pull out of the team after suffering a stomach upset last Sunday.
Ibrahim Saani Daara, Communication Manager of the Ghana Football Association informed the press on Monday that Ayew is having a stomach upset and would not be available for the reverse clash against Congo, in Brazzaville, on Tuesday.
“Jordan Ayew has reported to the technical team that he has a stomach upset. This is the information he passed on to us, I think he has food poisoning.
“He was not available for training this morning so technically, Jordan Ayew, Dede Ayew, Harrisson Afful and Asamoah Gyan would not be available for the game on Tuesday.
We will make do with what we have and travel to Congo to play the game. Asamoah Gyan and Harrison Afful would travel with the team to give their support.
Black Stars would play their fourth game of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Congo Brazzaville on Tuesday afternoon whiles Egypt host Uganda at Alexandria in the other fixture of Group E.
