Joseph Adotey Mingle who is challenging the incumbent Rev. Quarcoo for the position of Assistant Secretary General at the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) has called for free and fair elections as the world is watching events happening in Ghana.
He said Ghana sports is dying due to poor management, lack of transparency and negative spirit.
The Mankralo of Sempe Sakaman with the stool name Nii Adotey Dzata 1 who was part of the delegation with the FIFA President said when there are wrong people at the right places, results are negative.
He stressed that change is spreading all over for better things to take charge and Ghana Sports need a new focus and mission for rebuilding the image of the nation.
He urged delegates to vote for the right people as this is the time for the renaissance and Ghana sports must take its right direction and positive position.
He said a vote for him and Ben Nunoo Mensah as President will be the only way to save the GOC and Ghana Sports from disaster.
According to Nii Dzata, the electorate must love the contestant and he believes delegates love him as a dynamic leader in society and sports fraternity.
Joseph Mingle took over from the great Col rtd John Sharpe at the Ghana Kick Boxing Association as a former member of the national team who won silver for Ghana at the World Championship in Scotland in 2009.
He has also been the Chairman of Chorkor Blue Whales Beach Soccer Club.
All his children, nieces and nephews are involved in sports like athletics, beach sports, swimming, table tennis, football, basketball, boxing, kick boxing and wrestling.
“As a nation, we are blessed with talents and managers, but we need to know the right leaders at the right time to deliver. We must elect and appoint committed people, who are not only God fearing, but know about Sports and ready to serve and leave when time is due, that is democracy, for others to come” he expressed.
Nii Mingle who won the SWAG award for Best Kick Boxer in 2010 is sure of attracting quality and quantity votes as a survey proves that the incumbent is not popular and jumping from association to association just to be in the GOC.
He noted that it is better to resign after good service than hang on failing for everybody.
He urged delegates to vote massively for Joseph Mingle as Deputy Secretary General for Ghana Sports to shift to a better direction of transparency, peace, harmony and victories upon victories with development structures.
