Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong Executive Chairman of Jospong Group of Companies has expressed his readiness to team-up with Apostle Kwadwo Safo, Founder, and Leader of Kristo Asafo Church to achieve cleanliness.
He said the company would support Apostle Safo to innovate more and expand simple tools to use to clean the environment.
“Apostle Safo is one man I admire because of his quest for industrialisation, because it is that sector that can facilitate the development of this country. Once we start to industrialise, the sector can create employment for the youth,” he said.
Dr Agyepong said this in response to a question posed during an interaction with Senior journalists at a soiree in Accra.
While professing his respect and appreciation for Apostle Safo’s innovative drive, he said, “I have approached him and I am going to link up with him seriously. We must support this gifted man and his inventions and even learn from him”.
He said home-grown solutions such as Apostles Safo’s equipment were the best approach to addressing the sanitation challenges.
Apostle Safo in an interview said he was ready to collaborate with any other African organisation to forge an alliance to address the social problem in Africa and develop the continent.
He said there were many innovations in the offing to help address poor sanitation and enhancing waste recycling.
“I have the knowledge and expertise to address and develop technologies you can think of and I have done many, such as; weeding and sweeping implements, but they were not taken seriously. I am willing to even enhance those technologies if only the Government will support its uptake.”
