Banku, Koo Fori, Powers flanked by Manfred Takyi and Harrison in a pose
JOY INDUSTRY Limited is girding up it loins to promote the next bout between Bukom Banku and Ayittey Powers.
This was disclosed to newsmen over the weekend during a tour of some selected towns in the Eastern Region by the two ace boxers.
Speaking to DAILY GUIDE SPORT at their Akwadum office, the CEO of Joy Industry, Dr Manfred Takyi, said his company is keen at promoting the next bout between the two boxers because he believes it would be a delight to have them back in the ring.
He added that his pleasure would be to move the venue to Koforidua, capital of the Eastern Region, which he considers as a bridge between the north and south of the country.
The two boxers stormed the Eastern Region last Friday and were processed through some of the principal streets of the region starting from Suhum to Koforidua.
Ayittey Powers in an interview said his poor performance in the May 15 bout was due to an injury in his left wrist which obstructed him from punching back at his rival.
He said after watching the match, he felt very disgraced and bad for having disappointed his fans but promised a better performance in the next bout which would hopefully be promoted by Joy Industries.
Bukom Banku on the other hand felt great for carrying the day on May 15 and promised a better show.
