Juabeso DCE donates to three health institutions.

Madam Martha kwayie Manu, District Chief Executive for Sefwi Juabeso in theCOVID-19has presented sanitary kits to three health institutions within the Juabeso District to help support the fight against COVID-19 in the area.

The beneficiary health institutions are Bonsu- Nkwanta Health Center, Sefwi- Boinzan Anglican Clinic, and kofikrom Adventist Day Hospital.

The items included, Veronica buckets with stands, three gun thermometers, 28 bundles of tissue paper, a quantity of alcohol-based hand sanitizer, dust bins, nose masks, liquid Soaps, 15 aprons, and safety boots.

Speaking to the GNA after the presentation, Madam Martha kwayie Manu, said though the District had not recorded any COVID-19 case, the District Assembly would continue to do everything possible to support the fight against the virus in the area.

She said in this regard, the Assembly had already distributed more than 7000 nose masks and 3,500 pieces of alcohol-based hand Sanitizers to market women, drivers and traders within the district.

The DCE encouraged Ghanaians to strictly adhere to the accepted protocols which include, wearing of nose masks, frequent use of alcohol-based hand Sanitizers, observing physical and social distancing, regular washing of hands with soap under running water, and avoiding overcrowded places to manage the spread of COVID-19.

Mr Samuel Anarfo Wobbey, Physician Assistant at the Boinzan Anglican clinic who spoke on behalf of the beneficiary institutions commended the DCE for the gesture saying the items would go a long way to help them in the fight against COVID-19 in the area.

He promised that the items would be used for the intended purpose.

Madam Sertina Alipo, Juabeso District Health Director, expressed gratitude to the DCE and the assembly for the assistance to the Health Directorate since the outbreak of the pandemic.

She encouraged residents to adhere to all the protocols to make the District free from the COVID- 19 pandemic.
