Justin Frimpong Kodua, General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has dismissed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ‘s target of securing 35% of the vote in the Ashanti Region as unrealistic.

Speaking to the media following a GHC 100,000 donation to support the NPP Women’s Wing at their regional campaign launch, Kodua exuded confidence in the NPP’s ability to win the 2024 general elections, igniting a sense of anticipation among the audience.

Kodua, who was at the launch alongside notable figures such as former Majority Leader Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu and Chief of Staff Frema Akosua Opare Addo, criticized the NDC’s ambitions in the Ashanti Region, attributing their target to wishful thinking rather than a feasible strategy.

He highlighted the NPP’s solid groundwork and ongoing efforts, providing reassurance to the audience about the party’s preparedness for the upcoming elections.

“We have worked across the country, and our work is visible.

Our campaign activities, which involve [specific activities or events], are a testament to our commitment and progress.

He expressed optimism about the NPP’s chances of success, instilling a sense of hope in the audience and emphasizing the importance of convincing voters to support their bid to ‘break the 8’ on December 7.

Kodua also highlighted the crucial role of the Women’s Wing in the party’s campaign strategy, stating that the donation was meant to support their activities and underscore the party’s recognition of their contributions.

“National recognizes the Women Wing’s role in the party,” he said.

The campaign launch was marked by prominent NPP figures, including Chairman Wontumi and National Women’s Organizer Kate Gyamfuah, all rallying support for the party’s 2024 campaign.
