Legendary ex-Ghanaian footballer Abedi Ayew Pele says he is worried by the consistent degradation of the quality in our juvenile league.
Pele, who is father to Swansea City?s Andrew Ayew and Aston Villa?s Jordan Ayew says the future is bleak for Ghana football with the consistent fall in quality of juvenile leagues in the country.
The Black Stars have failed to win the Africa cup of nations since 1982 but have been losing finalist in 1992, 2010 and recently in Equatorial Guinea in 2015.
Abedi who was once a chairman of the Juvenile football committee of the Ghana Football Association says there is danger looming with the lack of attention to the development of youth in the country.
?I have been the chairman of the juvenile side in the FA before,? told Accra based Citi FM
?I went to Nestle myself and I had sponsorship and we played inter regions which was all top but since I left they have been unable to follow up to give the children the hope they deserve.?
?I think we all have to go back to the drawing board to ensure we give the children the opportunities they deserve and try to let people that are passionate about football drive football.?
