Laryea Kingston wants more experienced players in Black Stars

Hearts of Oak midfielder Laryea Kingston wants more ?experienced? players to be part of the Black Stars.

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has been forced to rejig his relatively younger set-up after recording mixed results in the opening 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Black Stars thumped less-fancied Lesotho 7-0 but suffered a 1-0 defeat to Zambia to place second in Group D.

Appiah?s squad had an average age of 21 and there have been suggestions that more tried and tested players will be needed to aid Ghana?s campaign.

Kingston-who is seeking a return to the national team after a two-year absence-has waded into the ensuing debate by supporting the idea of maintaining the ?experienced? players.

?In a football team if you mix experience and the youth it makes it stronger,? he told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

?Because you need experience in anything you do so I will be very happy to see many of the senior players in the team.?
