The Kingdom World Tour 2024 event venue in Accra, Ghana, has been shifted from the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Christ Temple East to the First Love Centre at UPSA, Legon.

The doors for the rescheduled event will open at 5 PM.

The change, announced by organisers Culture Management Group (CMG) Gospel and Faith Collective, was prompted by a sudden and substantial increase in the rental price of the original venue.

“The disruption stems from a sudden and unexpected increase in the venue price,” CMG Gospel stated. “Unfortunately, only 24 hours before the show, the venue’s management raised the rental price by more than 80%.”

The organisers expressed disappointment and frustration over the abrupt change, which caused unnecessary complications.

“We are shocked and deeply disappointed by this change in plans by the ICGC Christ Temple East management,” CMG Gospel added.

They apologised for any inconvenience caused by the last-minute venue adjustment.

The Kingdom World Tour 2024 will feature American gospel singer and producer Kirk Franklin, known for revolutionising gospel music in the 1990s with his contemporary style.

Joining him will be Maverick City Music, an acclaimed American contemporary worship group that has gained international recognition with hits such as “Promises,” “Man of Your Word, and “Jireh, in collaboration with Elevation Worship’s Steven Furtick.

Since its inception in 2018, Maverick City Music has carved out a significant place in the global music scene.

Its innovative approach to worship music appeals to younger audiences.
