Excellence in Broadcasting (EIB) Network’s Kobby Gomez-Mensah has been selected for this year’s foreign reporters’ tour.
He joins 24 other reporters from across the globe to benefit from an extensive training session on election reporting. The tour to take place this September is being organized by the Foreign Press Center with support from the US State Department for countries holding general elections in 2016.
Foreign journalists participating in this tour will have the opportunity to report about young Americans and those who work with and study the role of youth in the U.S. political process.
Participants will have access to on-the-record interviews and engagements with youth activists from diverse backgrounds, especially on university campuses, as well as those working with nonpartisan organizations, special interest groups, think tanks, scholars, and political campaigns at the national, state, and local levels.
Participants will be taken on a tour from Washington through to Virginia and end up in Denver Colorado. Selected reporters come from Albania, Armenia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bulgaria, Central African Republic, Chile, Cote d’Ivoire, Czech Republic, Ecuador and Ghana.
The rest come from Guatemala, Hong Kong, India, Kuwait, Lithuania, Mali, Mongolia, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Tunisia.
