For Member of Parliament for Asokwa, Maxwell Kofi Jumah has indicated that though he drinks achohol, he doesn?t drink the local gin (akpeteshie). According to him, he drinks the best of wines from the top of the shelf.
Kofi Jumah was reacting to a publication in ?The Herald? newspaper alleging that he is a lover of the local gin (akpeteshie). According to the newspaper the former MP is also known for his sexual escapades.
Speaking on Adom FM, Kofi Jumah stated categorically that he will never pretend to be a saint because within him, he knows his capabilities. He indicated that he?ll never respond to the call as a man of God when he can make merry as a mere person on earth rather than being a pastor.
?Good and tasteful things is what I like. I will never be a pastor. I love tasteful things both in my mouth and under (private part). Even God will reject me if I want to be a pastor. I can never be a pastor, I will never pretend to be holier than thou.
I heard I drink Akpeteshie, I drink alcohol but I don?t drink Akpeteshie. Though some friends and family were worried about the publication, I giggled over it. I have never tasted Akpeteshie in my entire life. If I found myself at the chiefs palace and dry gin is served, I will not hesitate to taste it but I don?t drink Akpeteshie. I suck good quality liquor from the top of the shelf,? he noted.
