It was defender Emmanuel Asante who shot his side into the lead, blasting home a well-taken corner to give Kotoko the advantage.

Hassacas with their pride wounded, attacked in droves to level the scoring, courtesy Amos Korankye, whose 25-yarder freekick found the back of the net.

The visitors, having developed the penchant for goals, put together some good passes and increased the tally to two after Emmanuel Ankobea rounded Kotoko?s Christopher Bonney and unleashed a thunderbolt to beat goalkeeper Joseph Addo.

Kotoko came into the second half a transformed side, marshalling more men forward and in one of their surging runs upfront, Hassacas? Theophilus Awortwe scored an own goal in a desperate attempt to clear substitute, Dauda Mohammed?s goal-bound shot to level for the Porcupine Warriors.
