Excitement is mounting in Kumasi as preparations are underway for the formal introduction of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, affectionately known as NAPO, as the running mate of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The city is buzzing with anticipation as chiefs and dignitaries gather at the Manhyia Palace for the ceremonial outdooring, creating an atmosphere of excitement and energy.

Francis Adomako, the Ashanti Regional Organiser of the NPP, expressed the region’s enthusiasm for NAPO’s unveiling during an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Point Blank on Eyewitness News on Citi FM.

“The entire region is ready and thrilled about the introduction of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, as the running mate of our party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,” Adomako shared.

He attributed the widespread happiness to NAPO’s charismatic leadership and his track record of accomplishment, including [specific achievements].

“Since the announcement, there has been a noticeable change in the atmosphere across the Ashanti region. People from all walks of life – street vendors, market women, traders, and buyers – have shown joy. Even those who had taken a back seat in politics have been rejuvenated by mentioning NAPO,” Adomako remarked.

“He is a unifying figure and a dynamic leader known for his ability to deliver results and inspire others to work alongside him,” he added, instilling a sense of reassurance and confidence in the NPP’s future.

The event marks a pivotal moment for the NPP as it gears up for the upcoming elections, with NAPO’s nomination expected to galvanize support in the Ashanti region and beyond, underscoring the significance and importance of this event.
