Kwesi Appiah must prove his critics wrong

Ghana U17 assistant coach Isaac Opeele Boateng says the Black Stars crucial 2014  World Cup playoffs against Egypt will determine the coaching credentials of Kwesi Appiah.

Appiah is on the brink of becoming the first Ghanaian coach to qualify the West African side to the global showpiece.

But he must first negotiate  two-legged difficult ties against the Pharaohs in October and November.

Even though players of both countries will be deeply involved in the cracker, the tactical disposition of Kwesi Appiah and Bob Bradley will come to the fore during the fixture.

The ex-Asante Kotoko trainer says the crucial encounter will go a long way to determine the technical ingenuity of Kwesi Appiah.

?I think this game will surely give us an insight into the technical acumen of both coaches,? Boateng said

?But for many Ghanaians the focus will be on Kwesi Appiah. He has to prove his critics wrong.

?His tactical know-how will be tested by the Egyptians. He needs to prove that he?s a quality coach who deserves to be where he is.

?I have absolute confidence in him to do just that.I have no reasons to doubt his capability.

?He needs our support to succeed.Because if he does, it will be Ghana that will be victorious.?

The Black Stars will host the Pharaoahs on October 15 at the Baba Yara stadium before playing the return leg on November 19 at a yet to be determined venue.
