Ghana’s Labadi Beach Hotel has been announced as the official host and venue sponsor for the 2025 joint conference of the African Marketing Confederation (AMC) and Technology Information Confederation Africa (TICON Africa).
The event, set for August 20–22 in Accra, is expected to draw over 500 delegates from more than 35 countries, positioning Ghana as a focal point for pan-African collaboration in marketing, technology, and business innovation.
The partnership, formalized on April 24, 2025, underscores Labadi Beach Hotel’s reputation as a premier hospitality destination. Known for its 5-star amenities and beachfront location, the venue will provide the setting for discussions aligned with Africa’s Agenda 2063, aimed at accelerating digital transformation and inclusive economic growth. David Eduaful, the hotel’s managing director, emphasized its commitment to delivering an authentic Ghanaian experience, stating, “We will ensure delegates have the best of hospitality and a memorable stay.”
The conference will mark the fourth collaboration between AMC and TICON Africa, with Ghana’s Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIMG) and the Institute of ICT Professionals (IIPGH) leading as host bodies. Dual themes will guide the agenda: AMC’s focus on “Thriving in Africa’s Evolving Markets: Trust, Trends, and Technology,” and TICON’s exploration of “Empowering Africa’s Tech Future: Innovation, Standards, and Global Influence.”
Kwabena Agyekum, Vice President of AMC West Africa, praised the venue choice, noting Labadi Beach Hotel’s capacity to accommodate international delegates. David Gowu, President of TICON Africa, added that the hotel’s facilities would ensure a “world-class experience” for attendees, including policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators.
The event highlights Ghana’s growing role in Africa’s digital economy, building on initiatives to strengthen cross-sector partnerships and financial inclusion. AMC, representing marketing professionals continent-wide, and TICON Africa, a hub for ICT expertise, aim to foster knowledge exchange and strategic alliances through the conference.
As Accra prepares to welcome global participants, the collaboration reflects broader efforts to position African-led solutions at the forefront of global technological and marketing discourse. With its blend of cultural appeal and modern infrastructure, Ghana continues to attract high-profile events, reinforcing its status as a bridge between local innovation and international opportunity. The 2025 conference not only spotlights Labadi Beach Hotel’s hospitality prowess but also signals Africa’s determination to shape its economic and digital future through homegrown expertise and collaboration.
