The first-ever Association of Professional Development Communicators-Ghana (APDC-Ghana) is poised to make its mark with an official launch scheduled for July 5, 2024, at the prestigious GNAT Hall in Accra.
Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri, Acting Media Liaison & Communications Officer of APDC-Ghana, announced the upcoming event, emphasizing the association’s pivotal role in advancing development communication nationwide. APDC-Ghana aims to revolutionize communication of development issues, focusing on sectors vital to Ghana’s progress, including health, education, agriculture, and environmental conservation.
“At the heart of APDC-Ghana’s mission lies the promotion of transformative communication strategies that not only drive behaviour change but also amplify the voices of the marginalized,” Abugri emphasized.
The association’s objectives include:
- Researching to promote best practices in development communication.
- Building the capacity of communicators.
- Fostering community engagement through cross-cultural communication.
APDC-Ghana also aims to tackle development challenges by leveraging partnerships and diverse communication methods.
