

General Manager of Philips Lighting, West Africa, Mr. Felix Darko has admonished Ghanaians to consider the use of LED lighting to the conventional lighting which is widely used currently by the consuming public for lighting up homes and offices. He is of the view that this will help conserve energy in order to sustain the economy as a unique way of solving Ghana’s energy problems which has angered households and crippled industries.
He was speaking during a private cocktail reception in Accra to celebrate the lighting up of black star monument as part of Philips Cairo to Cape Town Roadshow 2014.
The Philips Cairo to Cape Town roadshow event is an annual event which geared towards solving challenges facing various countries in Africa since instituted five years ago. The 2014 version is targeting helping Ghanaians get enjoy quality health service as well as enhance energy efficient lighting in the country.
