Let this Christmas be a game-changer for Christians and nation – Rev Tetteh

Reverend Sylvanus K. Tetteh, Director of Administration, General Assembly of the E. P Church, Ghana, has admonished Christmas celebrants to use the celebration as a game-changer to renew their relationships with God.

He said if Christians and the nation could see the light brought by Christmas and live righteous lifestyles with devotion, peace and prosperity would adorn them and the state.

Rev Tetteh said these during a Christmas homily at the joint service at the Churches headquarters in Ho on the theme: “Christ, The Saviour Is Born.”

He said the light brought at Christmas, more than 2,000 years old, had come to dispel the influence of darkness.

Rev Tetteh urged Christians and the nation-state of Ghana to take advantage of the light to glow.

“In this light, why is there polarization in the House of God?” Rev Tetteh asked.

Rev Tetteh said if the nation had seen Christ’s light, “why are we failing to plan for the good of the people 64 years of statehood.”

He said if the light was charting the pathway of nation-building, there would be much more development than it is now.

Rev Tetteh asked everyone to do good and live righteously, saying one day God would come to judge all by the light.

Rev Tetteh said living in righteousness and devotion should characterise the way mankind lives in his community.

“God looks for ordinary things to edify and glorify His name and not extraordinary things.

“Our lives should dispel darkness and may we continue to live righteous lives at all times irrespective of status to edify God and the Church,” Rev Tetteh said.

As we are in the season of peace and giving, remember the vulnerable, the poor and the downtrodden, share your wealth with them also,” Rev Tetteh said
