Nii Okine Laryea, the National Democratic Congress parliamentary candidate-elect for Trobu Amasaman Constituency, has appealed to his contestants to support him to help retain the seat for the continuation of development projects in the area.

Nii Laryea, a businessman made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency after the elections when he polled 297 votes to beat the four other aspirants including Mr Issaka Amon Kotei who had 132 votes, Miss Christine Fiakpui polled 51 votes, Mr Kofi Acquah 32 votes, while Mr William Kwasi Ahamadzie polled 11 votes.

Nana Oduro Nimapau, Municipal Electoral Officer supervised the election.

Nii Armah Tackie, Ga West Municipal Chief Executive, asked the losers to put behind them whatever happened during the heat of the election and come together and forge ahead with a common agenda of winning the presidential and parliamentary elections come December.

Nii Tackie said the government has undertaken a number of infrastructural developments which include building of school blocks, roads, extension of electricity in some communities like Kwashie Kumah, Akramang, Obo-Kwashie, Ayikai Dobro, Daasa Lam, Abeman and Dome Sampaman.

He assured the candidate-elect of cooperating with him to continue with the good work of the NDC government of providing the people with their essential amenities to improve their living status. GNA
