Liam Payne, who has achieved success in his career as an international pop star, wrote to his fans on his Twitter on Wednesday, January 21 about his concern for poverty. He stated that he once went to Ghana and saw that people there didn?t have anything and could not buy food. He visited the country for the Red Nose Day in 2013.

He wrote on TwitLonger, ?I don?t ever claim to be a good person I?m not. But I feel that I wanna be a humanitarian with all of this attention, if that?s all I do that would make me happy. The world needs to change, band together right now the same way me and One Direction have the past few years, I?m a young man and to me the world is a pretty messed up place.?

He concluded his tweet with a request to his fans to donate to any charity and help change the world today. The tweet soon became a worldwide trending topic after Directioners retweeted the message more than 160.000 times. It was the first tweet from Liam since January 4.

Liam, who also stated that he had been a poor man and a rich man, is now worth an estimated $30 million as a result of his hard work with the boyband, One Direction. The band announced that they would embark on a world tour, ?On the Road Again Tour?, on February 7.
