The Inspector General (IG) of the Liberian National Police, IGP Hon. Gregory O. W. Coleman, has praised the significant transformation of the Ghana Police Service under Dr. George Akuffo Dampare’s leadership and described him as an inspirational figure for law enforcement leaders across Africa.
During a visit to the Ghana Police headquarters in Accra, IGP Coleman admired Dr Dampare’s exemplary leadership, citing it as a blueprint for his role and others on the continent.
He remarked, “Your leadership inspires me and many others on the continent. You’ve shown that one person can make a difference despite their challenges.”
IGP Coleman highlighted the Ghana Police Service’s elevated status as a reference point in policing within Africa and beyond, attributing this success to Dr. Dampare and his team. He expressed gratitude for the warm reception and underscored his eagerness to learn from Ghana’s policing strategies as Liberia endeavours to enhance its law enforcement practices.
In response, IGP Dr George Akuffo Dampare welcomed IGP Coleman and his team warmly, reaffirming his commitment to fostering regional cooperation among law enforcement agencies. He emphasized the importance of sharing best practices to strengthen regional policing.
