As the 2024 general election draws closer, Mr. Bismark Okyere Asante, CEO of Linbisk Farms, has called on the youth of Ghana to focus on economic empowerment and peace, urging them to avoid being swayed by political violence or unrest.

Addressing the media at his farm, Mr. Asante highlighted the importance of engaging in productive ventures as a way to reduce the likelihood of the youth being drawn into politically motivated violence. He stressed that instead of waiting for employment opportunities, young people should create their own paths through entrepreneurship, particularly in sectors like agriculture. “Whether it’s poultry farming, catfish farming, or any other business venture, start small and grow at your own pace. Patience and perseverance are key to building a responsible business,” he said.

Reflecting on his own entrepreneurial journey, Mr. Asante shared how he started Linbisk Farms with minimal resources. “I began with just two employees and funded their first-year salaries from my personal savings. Today, we have grown to employ 20 people. Success is a gradual process, and being hands-on in your business is essential.”

Championing Peace and Progress

Mr. Asante also took the opportunity to advise the youth as the country approaches the election period. He urged them to reject violence, promoting peaceful coexistence and dialogue instead. He stressed that the youth should channel their energy into positive endeavors like education, entrepreneurship, and community building, which are vital to personal and national progress.

“Peace is the foundation for any meaningful development,” Mr. Asante remarked. “The youth hold the future of this nation in their hands. Let’s choose unity, entrepreneurship, and a peaceful future.”

Linbisk Farms serves as a prime example of how hard work and dedication can lead to success. Through his leadership, Mr. Asante continues to inspire the next generation to focus on self-reliance, peace, and the long-term growth of the nation, especially in these critical times leading up to the 2024 elections.
