In an interview with the GNA Sports, Mr. Lutterodt said, when he was elected the Chairman of the Association, he called on past Chairmen to discuss and devise measures on how to improve the discipline for continuity but the current leadership has failed to do likewise.

He said the issues concerning the indefinite suspension of Olympic Gold medalist Martha Bissah still remains unclear, and that, such attitudes towards athletes will make it difficult for the GAA to secure sponsorships.

Mr. Lutterodt said the current leadership does not seek advice or consult with him and other past chairmen. ” When I was the chairman of the GAA, I called on Agyin Tetteh and in fact he became the consultant for the Association.

“I just don’t do things my way. I have to take advice. Then when I left and Sandy Osei Agyemang came, the first thing he did was to call and discuss issues concerning the discipline with me. This is how it should be but since the Prof. Francis Dodoo administration assumed office they have never done that and this has culminated in the disastrous results we are facing right now”.

He said for Ghana to win medals at the next Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, “Ghana needs to invest in our sports”.
