
Maagrace Garment Industries Limited, a sewing firm based in Koforidua has donated scrub uniforms to the St. Joseph’s Hospital at Koforidua in the Eastern Region, as part of their contribution to support the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
These were made up of 136 tops, 46 mix sizes, 48 scrubs mix sizes.
Mr Reuben Katako, the Human Resource Manager, who presented the uniforms, said the donation was meant to support the health sector especially the St Joseph’s Hospital.
He said it was also intended to ensure that the health workers were safe and can have some protective garments to work without any stress.
Mr Katako said they were also looking at establishing some partnership with the hospital and expressed their gratefulness to the Hospital for accepting their donation.
Receiving the uniforms on behalf of the facility, the Hospital Administrator, Mr Philemon Kofi Quansah expressed his profound gratitude to the company for the kind gesture extended to the staff of the Hospital during this period of the COVID-19 outbreak.
He indicated that the Hospital would ensure that the uniforms were put to good use and expressed the hope that the donation would open up more collaborations between the two institutions to promote good health care delivery in the Municipality.
