Maamobi General Hospital has called on groups and individuals to help provide phototherapy unit for the neonatal intensive care department to aid in the treatment of jaundice.
Dr Dorcas Anful Okine, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, said a lot of babies were born with jaundice and as such they needed the phototherapy light to aid treatment process.
She said the Hospital had a few of such but needed more to save the lives of the delicate babies.
Dr Okine made the call when the Rotary Club of Accra-Dzorwulu, donated wheelchairs about GhS10, 000 to the Maamobi General Hospital to assist clients.
Mr Brian Kofi Ametsikor, the President of Rotary Accra-Dzorwulu,said the gesture was to assist those who were critically ill.
Dr Okine who received the donation, expressed gratitude to the club, adding that the items would go a long way to help clients who visited the Hospital.
She also appealed to other institutions for more support to the facility.
