Machecki CEO Astounded By Patronage so far

Chief Executive Officer of Machecki Technologies Richard Annerquaye Abbey has said the company is overwhelmed by the patronage of its service,, which allowed voters to check if their details were part of those deleted by the Electoral Commission on the instructions of the Supreme Court.

“We are stunned by Machecki’s wide acceptance since we launched ten days ago. We have seen close to 300,000 unique visits since we went live,” he said.

The service developed by a team of young Ghanaian app developers launched on 15th July 2016, barely 24hours after the EC published the 1,171-page list of deleted Voters’ on its website.
He said Machecki 1.0, which is the first phase of the project, will come to an end at 2359hrs Monday, July 25.

The company’s the decision to go offline, he said, is to afford the service the opportunity to incorporate feedback it received from users – a move, he said, is in line with building Ghana’s foremost identity management and Verification Company.

But Mr. Abbey was quick to add that Machecki will appreciate more feedback from the general public via

Machecki Technologies was established last year after it won a grant from Kenya-based NGO Making All Voices Count (MAVC) which is supported by reputable donors such as USAID, Sida, and the Omidyar Network (ON).

Machecki wishes to reiterate that its maiden service was to complement the EC’s efforts as such will entreat all voters to spare a time in their busy schedules to participate in the ongoing exhibition exercise which will end on August 7, 2016.
