THE PEOPLE of Asokwa in Kumasi will embark on a massive health walk today Friday, which is Farmers? Day.
The brainchild of the MP of the area, Madam Patricia Appiagyei, the move is to help the residents to keep fit.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Asokwa Constituency Communications Director, Edmund Kyei, told DAILY GUIDE SPORTS that the walk would start at 6:00am at Asokwa Chiropractic. Participants from all political parties would then head to Atonsu and other areas of the constituency.
Edmund Kyei disclosed that the walk would be followed by free eye-screening at Atonsu Station near Fidelity Bank.
He commended Madam Appiagyei for coming out with such a programme to improve the people?s health.
According to him, today is a national holiday and the MP wants to take advantage of it to help boost the health of the people.
Edmund Kyei, who is very outspoken, urged residents of Asokwa to grace the event in large numbers.
