John Dramani Mahama, the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has launched a scathing attack on Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

His criticism is centred on Bawumia’s media encounter on August 25, a day after the NDC’s manifesto launch on August 24. Mahama has accused Bawumia of strategically timing his media appearance to divert public attention from the NDC’s manifesto.

Mahama pointed out that Bawumia’s media appearance was not a mere coincidence, but a carefully planned move to divert public attention from the NDC’s manifesto.

Mahama has suggested that the timing of Bawumia’s media encounter was a deliberate ploy to overshadow the NDC’s announcement, thereby undermining the significance of the NDC’s manifesto launch.

“Just the day after our manifesto launch, the Cedi crossed the 16 Cedi to one dollar mark.

It seems that when you act with devious intentions, it often backfires,” Mahama stated.

“The media encounter by our opponents the very next day was a clear attempt to distract from our manifesto launch.”

Mahama further criticized Bawumia’s performance during the media encounter, highlighting his sudden stammering as a stark change from his usual confident demeanour, which Mahama sees as a clear sign of deception.

“When someone who usually speaks confidently starts stammering, it reveals a lack of authenticity.

It’s like someone who is usually fluent suddenly becomes hesitant, which suggests they are not being truthful,” Mahama added.
