John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has championed the 24-hour economy policy as a pivotal measure to rejuvenate Ghana’s economy and create job opportunities for the youth.
Addressing a gathering of chiefs and residents in the Zebilla constituency, Mahama emphasized the policy’s potential impact.
He stated, “The 24-hour economy will be instrumental in revitalizing our economy and generating employment for our young people.”
“Eighty percent of Ghanaians believe the country is heading in the wrong direction. It’s time for a change and the NPP to step aside.”
Mahama reiterated his call for experienced leadership to navigate the nation’s challenges.
“It is time for a safe pair of hands to steer our country back on course and improve our fortunes,” he added.
In a follow-up Facebook post, Mahama reflected on his campaign activities in the Upper East Region, highlighting interactions with traditional and religious leaders.
Mahama wrote, “The engagement with our chiefs, queen mothers, and community leaders reinforced the need for a unified approach to national development.”
He praised the previous achievements of NDC administrations and underscored his commitment to leveraging his experience to advance the country.
“Our goal is to build a more inclusive and prosperous Ghana,” Mahama said.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to connect with the people and look forward to continuing this dialogue as we work towards a better future.”
Mahama’s campaign promises to focus on the policies Ghanaians need in the economic and social landscape.
