The Former President John Dramani Mahama is expected on Saturday February 18, 2017 to attend the inauguration of The Gambian’s President Adama Barrow.

The Gambian President was sworn into office in The Gambian Embassy in Dakar, Senegal few weeks ago.

In a statement issued by Mr Mahama’s Special Aide Joyce Bawah Mogtari, it said “Barrow’s inauguration today, coincides with the 52nd Independence Anniversary of the small West African Country.”

Mr Mahama became the ECOWAS co-mediator in resolving electoral disputes that erupted after The Gambia’s election in December 1, 2016 when its former President Yahya Jammeh refused to step down after his defeat.
