Former CEO of B-A United FC, Mr Dickson Kwabena Kyere Duah, popularly known as Stugard, currently a spokesperson on sports in the 2024 NDC Manifesto, has confidently stated on Sunyani-based Space FM that the return of John Dramani Mahama to power would revolutionize Ghana’s sports landscape, making it the envy of all Africa.

Stugard, also the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Berekum West, highlighted the party’s commitment to enhancing sports infrastructure and nurturing talent.

He referenced the ambitious plans laid out in former President John Dramani Mahama’s 2024 election manifesto, which include the construction of modern sports stadiums in every region of Ghana.

He explained that the party aims to build state-of-the-art facilities and renovate existing ones to foster talent development and create environments where aspiring athletes can thrive and reach their full potential.

In addition to infrastructure, the NDC intends to establish sports academies and tailored training programs for young athletes across various disciplines, including beach soccer, providing essential platforms for skill development and competitive opportunities.

Speaking on the station’s flagship sports program, “Space Super Sports,” hosted by Emmanuel Kwame Arthur, Stugard emphasized the NDC’s strategy to attract private sector investment in sports, which promises to generate job opportunities and bolster the economy.

He also mentioned that a significant focus of the NDC’s agenda is promoting women’s sports and inclusive programs, ensuring equal opportunities for all athletes, regardless of gender.

Additionally, the party plans urgent refurbishments of pitches, tracks, and facilities at national stadiums in Accra, Kumasi, Tamale, and Sekondi to ensure these venues are ready for local and international competitions.
