The following are the indices of major stock markets worldwide on Thursday.

IN ASIA
The Shanghai Composite Index opened at 3,333.49 points, up 3.75 points, or 0.11 percent.
The Shenzhen Component Index opened at 13,465.89 points, up 37.49 points, or 0.28 percent.
The Hang Seng Index opened at 25,469.77 points, down 22.02 points, or 0.09 percent.
The S&P/ASX 200 index opened at 6,156.60 points, up 40.20 points, or 0.66 percent.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average opened at 23,332.50 points, up 41.64 points, or 0.18 percent.
The Straits Times Index opened at 2,539.98 points, down 2.10 points, or 0.08 percent.
The Korea Composite Stock Price Index opened at 2,371.95 points, up 2.63 points, or 0.11 percent.

IN THE UNITED STATES
The S&P 500 Index closed at 3,478.73 points, up 35.11 points, or 1.02 percent.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 28,331.92 points, up 83.48 points, or 0.30 percent.
The Nasdaq Composite Index closed at 11,665.06 points, up 198.59 points, or 1.73 percent.

IN EUROPE
The DAX Index closed at 13,190.15 points, up 128.53 points, or 0.98 percent.
The FTSE 100 Index closed at 6,045.60 points, up 8.59 points, or 0.14 percent.
The Paris CAC 40 closed at 5,048.43 points, up 40.16 points, or 0.80 percent.
