IN THE UNITED STATES
The S&P 500 Index opened at 3,346.86 points, down 38.63 points, or 1.14 percent.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average opened at 27,834.18 points, down 198.20 points, or 0.71 percent.
The Nasdaq Composite Index opened at 10,796.05 points, down 254.42 points, or 2.30 percent.

IN EUROPE
The DAX Index opened at 13,064.65 points, down 190.72 points, or 1.44 percent.
The FTSE 100 Index opened at 6,078.48 points, up 0.00 points, or 0.00 percent.
The Paris CAC 40 opened at 5,065.10 points, down 9.32 points, or 0.18 percent.

IN ASIA
The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3,270.44 points, down 13.48 points, or 0.41 percent.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 13,015.19 points, up 3.91 points, or 0.03 percent.
The Hang Seng Index closed at 24,340.85 points, down 384.78 points, or 1.56 percent.
